What drew you to the area that you currently reside in?

I bought my house in 2001 because I loved the central location of the neighborhood. I’m 7 minutes from downtown, Hyde Park, TIA or any interstate. Wellswood is truly a gem of a neighborhood. My neighbors have all lived in their homes for 25+ years and we all look out for each other.

What is a typical weekend like for you?

I love to spend time at Waterworks Park Dog Park, attend group fitness classes at Julian B Lane park on the river. In Seminole Heights, I attend Sangha Services at the Florida Community of Mindfulness. I often hang out at The Independent over on N Florida Avenue.

What makes your favorite neighborhood spot your favorite?

Waterworks park is such a beautiful park. It has been such a nice addition to the area and We have all made friends at the dog park. Ulele is right next door. The splash pad for kids is also very popular!

What are some non-profits you support?

I am a board member for Home Sweet Home Animal Rescue located in Wesley Chapel. My friend, Valerie Burke, rescues endangered birds and small barnyard animals (ducks, chickens, goats, etc.) She takes in animals that are left to be forgotten and gives them a life of dignity. She is truly amazing.

What would you like people to know about the non-profits you support.

Home Sweet Home Animal Rescue is 100% donation driven. All gifts go to feed and care for innocent animals which is near and dear to my heart. If you would like to make a donation, please visit, http://hshartampa.org/

What would you like someone moving to your neighborhood to know?

Wellswood is in the heart of an up and coming area of Tampa Bay. As the riverfront and downtown areas develop over the next few years, this will be a highly desired neighborhood!
